The Shop in Netstal
The Sattlerei Meile is a traditional company in the Swiss Glarnerland. In 1976 Jakob Meile (alias Köbi) made his hobby into his profession and opened a shop in Netstal on the street Landstrasse 54.
First he made harnesses for horses. Later his main focus lied on the production of laces for bells. Due to the excellent quality and the pleasantness with the clients he gained a good reputation.
Worker in the shop
In January 2005 Köbi confided his lifework to the hands of Ernst Fausch, who had worked in this branch for several years. Together with his family he continues the business as the Meile couple wanted.
Beside the cowbells, Treicheln and handcuffs the Sattlerei Meile offers also leather-straps, woodcarvings, sheepskin rugs, souvenirs and many agricultural articles. |
